[Shield 1] What is the AMASCORE (short AS)?

AMASCORE (abbreviation: AS), is a "visibility index", which comes from AMALYZE itself and reflects the organic visibility of an ASIN within the Amazon search results.

This visibility index is recalculated periodically and the higher the AMASCORE of an ASIN, the "better" the organic visibility of this ASIN within the Amazon search results.

The lower the AMASCORE of a particular ASIN, the "worse" the organic visibility of this ASIN within the search results.

In other words, an ASIN ranks to more relevant keywords (with the highest possible search volume) and the better it ranks to these, the higher its AMASCORE will be. The theoretical maximum value would be reached if an ASIN would rank on the first organic position for all keywords.

Example:

If I query the following ASINs in Shield under Research > Products, I find that some of the variants (Childs) have a higher AMASCORE, i.e. a higher organic visibility than others.
